Probabilistic Dynamic Simulation Using GoldSim
GoldSim is a Windows-based probabilistic, dynamic simulation tool designed for building hierarchical models of complex systems to support strategic planning and risk management in business, engineering and science. The software can simultaneously address both continuous and discrete dynamics, and propagates uncertainty using Monte Carlo simulation. The probabilistic simulation philosophy on which the software is based will be discussed. Attendees will learn how GoldSim is different from other approaches (e.g., discrete event simulation, system dynamics, spreadsheets), and the kinds of problems to which the software can be applied. The key features and capabilities of the software will be demonstrated.
