SC38.1 Roundtable Panel: Getting Ready for the Next Round of Mergers I

Freight railroads in North America have been dramatically impacted by a number of mergers over the past decade. In reaction to the service impacts of these mergers, the Surface Transportation Board imposed a moratorium that culminated with a new set of guidelines. We will review how past processes used OR tools to support mergers, review what worked well and what didn't and discuss implications of the recent STB Ruling on Mergers.
