Amongst the riches of outstanding presentations yesterday, I would like to single out one paper for its potential of transforming the lives of many, namely the lives of the poorest of this planet we all share. Justin Cohen from the Clinton foundation presented a compelling case for action to the OR community, which I would like to echo here. There are many obstacles to delivering live savings drugs and diagnostics to the developing world, but the lack of OR support should definitively not be one of them.
