Nomination Deadline: April 9, 2010.
The Richard E. Rosenthal Young Researcher Connection (YRC), held in conjunction with the INFORMS Practice Conference, is a program of special events that introduces participants to well-established researchers and practitioners for more effective communication. The program includes registration to the Practice Conference, as well as networking events exclusive to YRC participants.
YRC provides participants with new perspectives into some of the most critical problems facing industry today, enabling them to broaden their research agendas. The goal is for these O.R. leaders of the future to have an opportunity, early in their careers, to apply their outstanding analytical talents to important business problems.
YRC is open to researchers from both academia and industry. Participants must have completed their PhD no earlier than 2004 for this year’s program. Each Young Researcher is nominated by their department chair (for university faculty) or manager (for industry participants).
Young Researchers nominated and selected for this honor will receive an almost 60% reduction of the conference registration fee to $355. Awardees are expected to participate fully in the YRC events, as well as the conference sessions and social programs. We strongly encourage all YRC nominees to submit a paper in the "Select Presentations." Please note that YRC participants from previous years are ineligible for nomination.
In order to promote networking of a variety of people
from different areas, we ask each institution/company to nominate at most
one person for the YRC.
