Abstract Submission

INFORMS’ new web-enabled abstract processing system is now online and ready to accept submissions for the 2016 INFORMS International Conference, June 12-15, in Hilton Waikoloa Village, Hawaii. The new system makes it possible for authors of all papers–including those sponsored by INFORMS Sections, Societies and Fora–to easily submit their abstracts online.

Abstract Size/Length & Information

We prefer that you consider submitting at most one presentation per person in each of the following categories: INVITED, SPONSORED & CONTRIBUTED. This is in order to avoid scheduling conflicts.

Abstract should be 600 characters maximum, excluding spaces. Title of abstract – 150 characters maximum.

  • Letters, numbers, and *math symbols accepted.
  • All abstracts must be in English.
  • Do not include title or author information in the body of your abstract.
  • Abstracts will be published exactly as entered if accepted.
  • Review your abstract and check for typographical and spelling errors, and scientific sense.

*Please note: Use only “text pad” when entering math symbols.

When entering Session Chairs and Presenters please use the “People Look-Up” first to locate INFORMS Members in our data base. The People Look-up will automatically populate the submission information for the session chair or presenter.

Summary of Information

Once session chairs and presenters have been entered you will have the option to review the data.

  • If you are not ready to finalize your submission you may click on “Log Out” in the left menu bar (Step List). The information you entered will be saved.
  • You may continue to edit your submission until the deadline of December 7th, 2015.
  • If the session/presenter information is complete you can finalize the session by selecting “Submit as Final”.
  • Note: Once the session is finalized it will be locked and no further editing is possible.

Session Chairs will be notified by email to submit any missing information once the Cluster Chair has submitted the session title. Please note if you are chairing more than one session you may receive more than one email please retain this information it will be your access to the system.

If you have not received an invitation to submit from a Cluster Chair you will not be able to log in through the system.
