1 – NEW CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS REAL-WORLD APPLICATIONS
INFORMS launches its new OR/MS practitioner conference on May 20-22 in San
Diego with a program rich in best practices, real-world applications, and
professional development.  Analytic solutions across the enterprise-from
supply-chain integration to e-commerce, customer service, and revenue
management are on the program.

7 – FIVE TRACKS = LEARNING CHOICES
Customize your own program by choosing among more than 50 track sessions.
Track 1 explores how quantitative techniques are being applied across the
enterprise. Track 2 looks at e-procurement, real-time supply chain, click
stream analysis, e-CRM and other New Economy business models.  Track 3
highlights best practices across a range of industries. Track 4 offers a
menu of one- and two-hour tutorials in OR methodologies. Track 5 provides

8 – FRANZ EDELMAN COMPETITION & WAGNER PRIZE
Six organizations will compete for the 2001 Franz Edelman Award for
achievement in OR/MS in the prestigious competition sponsored by the College
on the Practice of Management Science (CPMS). CPMS also presents the Wagner
Prize 2000 winner for excellence in implemented OR work.

The INFORMS Roundtable will sponsor several sessions that offer an inside,
high-level look at the latest applications. Topics include OR in the
e-business era, the ideal OR/MS hire, and the evolution of e-commerce and OR
