We’re Finally Here: Welcome to the Virtual 2020 INFORMS Annual Meeting!
Welcome to the very first entirely virtual Annual Meeting! Each year, the INFORMS Annual Meeting draws thousands of operations research and analytics professionals, students, industry leaders and more from across the globe for unique opportunities for face-to-face learning, networking, and collaboration. And this year will be no different!
With the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to be felt globally, it was essential that we quickly adapt to this new virtual business landscape in order to continue to provide you with a valuable and rewarding INFORMS Annual Meeting experience. And while challenging, the transition from an in-person to virtual meeting format enabled us to retain the value of a traditional meeting while prioritizing the health and safety of our attendees and the INFORMS staff and volunteers.
The Virtual Annual Meeting platform provides attendees with unprecedented access to meeting content (which will remain accessible for three months following the meeting), as well as many exciting new opportunities to access and engage with content and fellow attendees, including:
- Nine unique virtual meeting guides to help you navigate the meeting schedule
- Meeting FacilitatORs who will lead informal discussions on topics of interest to attendees
- A combination of live and on-demand sessions enabling attendees to craft a meeting experience to fit YOUR schedule
- Live Q&A following each session to engage with presenters
