“Unless someone cares, a whole awful lot; things are not going to get better, they’re not.” – Dr. Suess
I appreciate the many opportunities for INFORMS members to support charities – from INFORMS partnering with Nashville’s Safe Haven to Pro-Bono Analytics. I appreciated learning about the dreams and needs of local charities. Thanks to Joel Wright, Nashville’s PENCIL Foundation, for explaining the logistics issues of getting donated school supplies to classrooms; and thanks to Cindy Rivers, Hands on Nashville, for explaining the complex work of training and matching volunteers to charities and other opportunities. Thank you for sharing your stories with us! Harkening back to Dr. Suess – it seems that things are going to get better.
