BDD who??
There are several sessions at #informs2019 centered on decision diagrams (mainly binary decision diagrams, or BDDs). If you’re a user of integer programming (linear or nonlinear), and you’re not familiar with BDDs, you might want to hit one of the sessions just to get a sense of what they are and what they might be good for. So far, at least, every presented has spent a few minutes reviewing the basics, which is helpful for those of us just getting introduced to the topic.
I got some potentially useful ideas from the 8:00 session today. (Hopefully I was awake enough to jot down coherent notes … but no guarantee there.) There’s another BDD session after lunch that looks interesting (Sunday 1:30 CC 612), just in case anybody reading this is interested and sees it in time.
